    This holiday whip up a nostalgic chocolate feast for the senses. AMERICAN HERITAGE® Chocolate is the surprise inside our Spiced Red Velvet Cake. Imbuing this nostalgic treat with a delectable hint of cinnamon and nutmeg, our layer cake recipe will liven up any holiday table!

    ingredients
    • 1/2 cup Finely Grated Chocolate Drink
    • 1 box of red velvet cake mix
    • water, vegetable oil, eggs as directed on cake mix
    • 1 container of cream cheese frosting
    Step 1

    Follow the directions on the box of your desired cake mix.

    Step 2

    Melt 1/2 cup AMERICAN HERITAGE® Finely Grated Chocolate in the microwave and stir into prepared cake batter.

    Step 3

    Pour cake batter into 13 x 9-inch baking sheet pan and bake as directed. Cake is done when a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

    Step 4

    Cool completely, then turn out sheet cake on a flat surface.

    Use a long knife to slice along the top of the cake to remove any uneven surfaces.

    Using a round cutter, cut three circles out of your sheet cake.

    Step 5

    Frost and stack each cake layer.
