- 1 1/4 Cup American Heritage® Finely Grated Chocolate Drink
- Hazelnut Spread Ingredients:

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup hazelnuts, skinned

French Toast Ingredients:

8 (¾ inch) slices challah bread

3 eggs
-
½ cup heavy cream or whole milk

Butter for grilling and serving

Garnish of your choice
Step 1
Hazelnut Spread:
Bring heavy cream to a boil. Remove from heat and add chocolate, stir until mixture is smooth. Cool to room temperature.
Step 2
Grind hazelnuts until they form a paste. Add chocolate mixture; continue processing until the mixture is as smooth as possible, or as smooth as you would like.
Step 3
French Toast:
Spread 4 bread slices with Hazelnut Spread. Top each with a second piece of bread.
Step 4
Whisk together eggs and cream, set aside.
Step 5
Heat a griddle over medium high heat. Melt a nugget of butter to cover surface.
Step 6
Dip bread, both sides, in the egg and cream mixture. Griddle the sandwich until golden (approximately 90 seconds) before flipping it and griddling on the other side.
