    Hot Chocolate Shooters – Three Ways!

    SERVINGS: 12 shooters or 4 hot chocolates
    ACTIVE TIME: 15 minutes

    ingredients
    Step 1

    In a small saucepan, heat the coconut milk and add the chocolate and peppermint extract. Stir until all is melted and smooth. Remove from heat.

    Step 2

    In a separate bowl, whip the cream until stiff peaks.

    Step 3

    Pour the liquid into the shooter glass and allow to cool for a few minutes.

    Step 4

    Place cream in a piping bag and top the shooter with a dome of the whipped cream and decorate with crushed peppermint candies.

    Step 5

    Variations
    a. Orange: substitute peppermint extract with orange extract and top with whipped cream and orange zest swirls.
    b. Spicy Christmas: substitute peppermint extract with a teaspoon each of cinnamon and a teaspoon of nutmeg. Top with whipped cream
    and a cinnamon stick, dust with cinnamon.
